ADVOCATES’ TAX BAR ASSOCIATION

Advocates’ tax bar Association india is an Association of Tax Advocates which is registered under the provisions of Societies Registration Act, 1860 having members registered with State & Union Territories Bar Councils.

Advocates’ tax bar Association was established in the year 2022. Since inception, it has been our endeavor to keep our Advocate Members and the public at large abreast and updated about the changes in Income Tax and Wealth Tax, effected through the Finance Act or otherwise.

Your Honor would appreciate the fact that we work as the connecting link between the Tax Advocates and the Government.

Objectives

  1. To promote advocates in the field of Tax Laws, Corporate Affairs, International Laws, Arbitrations, Legal Drafting and in all fields of law, in particular young professionals through training, seminars, debate and workshops and to achieve high degree of proficiency in legal practice especially in field of Tax Laws.
  2. To establish, manage, maintain and run Educational, Vocational and Technical Institutions anywhere in India, in urban, rural and backward areas and/or to provide financial assistance and other facilities to such institutions.
  3. To do all necessary acts to stop practice of law in contrary to the Advocates Act, 1961, by anyone who is not enrolled in any State Bar Council in India and save professional interest of it’s members.
  4. To provide assistance and opportunities to children and young people desirous and eager to practice law as a profession from best masters and professional in this field and thereby, create in them the concepts that may lead to greater growth in the field of advocacy.
  5. To mutual exchange of law interns from other countries, collaborations with other organisations etc.
  6. To develop a good teaching faculty and invite experts in the field of Law especially in tax laws and promote research, documentation and dissemination on the various aspects of the legal practice.
  7. To promote and create opportunities for Indian lawyers at the international level.
  8. To translate, print, publish, circulate and distribute appropriate material for distribution of useful knowledge through magazine, pamphlets or other printing & electronic mode for the development and promotion, benefit and advancement of legal practice, consultancy etc.
  9. To promote research in the study of Law.
  10. To give or establish prizes for excellence in the field of (a) Legal Practice (b) Social services (c) human understanding (d) Scientific, Technical etc., work/research for peace in the country.
  11. To grant scholarships or provide financial aid to poor/meritorious students.
  12. To complete, publish and distribute or give, financial aid, in the publication of any literature for the promotion of the above objects.
  13. To open branches where ever considered expedient for the promotion of above objects.
  14. To use the audio-visual media platforms for furtherance of its aims and objects.
  15. To receive any grant, donation, fee, support and assistance in any form for the furtherance of the objects of the Association.
  16. To do all such other lawful acts, deeds and things as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
  17. The benefits of   this  Association   Shall   be ensured  for  all citizens of India, irrespective  of  Caste,  Creed, Sex, Community or Religion.
  18. To contribute   donations   in   cash   or   kind   to   other   public  charitable Trusts,  Societies,  institutions  or   other  bodies  having  similar  and  parallel  objects and which  are  recognised  under  section  80G  of  the Income Tax Act,1961, or to the Government  or  any  local  board  local Authorities Corporation, to utilise for public and charitable purposes.
  19. The object of the Association shall be carried out not  involving  any activity for business and it shall be without any profit orientation.
  20. The funds  and  income of  the  Association  shall be utilised and made use towards the  achievements  of  the  objects  and  no  portion of  it shall be utilised for payment to Members of Association by way  of  interest, dividend, profits etc.
  21. All the income, earnings, moveable properties of the Association shall be utilised and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in the “Memorandum of Association” and no profit or part thereof shall be paid or transferred, directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profit or in any manner whatsoever, to the members of the Association or to any other person. No member of the Association shall have any personal claim on any moveable and/or immovable properties of the Association or make any profits, whatsoever, by virtue of this membership.

We have associated to help each other in our professional area which is being encroached by non-Advocates due to representation provisions of various Acts while pleading before any court of Law or authority is sole right of Advocates only.

Any advocate enrolled in any State or UT Bar Council may become the member of this Association by filling the membership form & submitting the required documents on website and paying a membership fee of Rs. 500/- for lifetime.

There are thousands of Associations in the country but mostly they all are on a local level and there are issues which needs to be addressed nation wide so we have formed this Association where Advocates from all over India are members and in near future our local committees will be in every district, state and zones.

We are an Association of practising advocates from all over the country who are fighting for the causes of Advocates from decades. Our founder members are well known in the legal field of the country.

We shall be providing legal literature to our members through our website and our expert penal shall help them in drafting various legal documents. We shall raise the issues of members before State and Central Governments.
